Pursuant to a navigational improvement project authorized by Congress in 1968 , involving dredging of Humboldt Bay to facilitate widening and deepening, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has selected five alternative spoils locations for the disposal of dredge spoils. This report discusses eight archaeological sites reported by Loud in 1918.
