The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has undertaken a historical survey and evaluation of all NASA-owned facilities and properties (real property assets) to determine their eligibility for listing in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in the context of the U.S. Space Shuttle Program (1969-2010), which has been slated for retirement in the year 2010.
