Test excavations at the Cache Hill site (48CA61) in Campbell County, Wyoming exposed a thick bison bonebed in the bottom of an arroyo formed by a first order tributary in the Powder River drainage basin. A radiocarbon date and comparisons with other assemblages show a Late Prehistoric context for the bison kill-butchery event.
