A large single-component Paleoindian site was found on a short tributary to the Powder River during a recent energy survey. The intact site occupies a sand-covered bench bordered by intermittent drainages and a semipermanent seepage area. Surface artifacts include a variety of chipped stone tools, retouched pieces, debitage, and hearth remains.
