The prehistoric component of the Boyd Cow Camp Archaeological Site (48SH1740) was first identified during an archaeological survey conducted by ACR Consultants, Inc., as part of a forest-wide Grazing and Vegetation Management Analysis. The site was later revisited by Terra Alta Archaeology.
