Twenty-two pre-military historic sites were documented, oral interviews were conducted, and archival research produced a wealth of information, including old photographs and homestead records. A total of 7,284 acres was included in this inventory, including HAFB properties on the North Area, and Tularosa Peak on the Main Base, and Boles Wells Water System Annex. A total of 34 previously unrecorded archaeological sites was documented. Twenty-five of the newly discovered properties are attributable to prehistoric activities.
