Twenty-two pre-military historic sites were documented, oral interviews were conducted, and archival research produced a wealth of information, including old photographs and homestead records. The combination of archaeological survey, archival research, and oral interviews has provided a complete picture of one cultural period on HAFB — historic settlement prior to the establishment of the base in 1942.
