On August 3-4 2005 a midden team (Tom McGovern, Seth Brewington, Konrad Smiarowski, Raymond Petit) collaborated with Fornleifastofnun Islands in the investigation of an abandoned farm site at Undir Sandmúla (SDM). The site had produced prior surface collections of Viking age artifacts, and has been visited by several scholars over the past century.
