An archaeomagnetic sampling program was executed by Dolores Archaeological Program personnel during the 1978 field season. Currently, project investigators view archaeomagnetic analysis as a primary dating method and as an important complement to dendrochronology. Dos Casas Hamlet (Site 5MT2193) is a small Basketmaker III/Pueblo I Anasazi site located approximately 8 km northwest of the town of Dolores, Montezuma County, Colorado.
