Prairie Dog Hamlet, Site 5MT4614, was excavated in 1979 by the University of Colorado under the auspices of the Dolores Archaeological Program (D.A.P.). Located in Montezuma County in southwestern Colorado, the site dates to the late Basketmaker III-early Pueblo I periods of the Anasazi tradition.
