At the request of the Historic Winslow House Association of Marshfield, under MHC permit 2193, archaeologists from the CCEH at University of Massachusetts Boston initiated a survey of archaeological resources on the Historic Winslow House property. This property is the remaining portion of the Careswell Winslow estate, originally granted to Edward Winslow, Mayflower Pilgrim and three-time governor of Plymouth Colony.
