Four sites dating to the mid-1200s in the Michael's (Clo-Chen-Toh) Exchange were sampled for pollen during archaeological mitigation. The sites consist of pitstructures, masonary rooms, and jacal structures. Mealing bins and hearths were also noted as extra-mural features. Pollen analysis at six sites represents part of the archaeological work on the Ramah Michael's, Land Exchange (the Clo-Chen-Toh Project). This joint venture between the University of New Mexico, New Mexico State University, and the Cibola National Forest has provided pollen samples from several years excavations, ranging from 1983 through 1989.
