A single sediment sample from the upper fill of a heated rock feature at site PL-SCESEG6-08 in Los Angeles County, California, was examined for phytoliths, starch, macrofloral remains, and organic residues, the latter using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), to look for evidence of foods that might have been processed in this feature.
