A study of Fort Stanwix, of Rome, New York, was conducted after the bicentennial of the United States. This article discusses the research and renewal project conducted by the National Park Services. Fort Stanwix built in 1758 by the British then abandoned prior to the American Revolutionary War. During the Revolution it was occupied by Burgoyne and his forces.
