Sediment samples adjacent to eight fire-altered rock features at Sites CA-LAN-1777, CA-LAN-1780, and CA-LAN-3873 in southern California were examined for pollen to determine plants that might have been processed using these features. Charcoal samples collected within the features were submitted for identification to identify woods burned as fuel.
