In the fall of 1952, construction of the Jim Woodruff Dam in northwest Florida approached the stage when water would be impounded and Indian sites flooded (map 9). The six reports which fonn the contents of this volume of the River Basin Surveys Papers are based on the results of field investigations carried on as a part of the Inter-Agency Archeological Salvage Program.
