Three soil samples and one ground stone artifact from upland sites in the Sandhills of North Carolina were submitted for pollen analysis. The Blackjack Site (31CD1035) and the McFadyen Pond Site (31CD1008), both of which are of unknown cultural affiliation and date, are in vegetational communities dominated by longleaf pine, wire grass, and small oaks.
