Eight stratigraphic pollen samples were collected from Recon John Shelter (5PE648), located along the bank of Turkey Creek a tributary to the Arkansas river. A late Archaic/Woodland occupation postulated at this cave, where the cultural deposits are deep. Ceramics were recovered from the upper levels, while projectile points were recovered throughout the deposits.
