Site 46Ka142, the Burning Spring Branch site, is situated on a terrace above the Kanawha River in Kanawha County, West Virginia. This multi-component site contains remnants of a 19th-century domestic house and salt furnace within the plowzone. The upper portions of the unplowed remainder of the A-horizon contained a Late Prehistoric village and portions of a Late Woodland settlement.
