Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted archaeological testing investigations at 38CH2017 on the Beazer Bolton Tract in September-November 2004. Site 38CH2017 is associated with a portion of the inland settlement of the former Bolton on the Stono Plantation. Site 38CH2017 contains subsurface archaeological deposits related to a former agricultural complex and a former slave settlement. We recommend 38CH2017 eligible for the NRHP.
