An archaeological investigation of the proposed Navajo Generation Station was conducted by the Museum of Northern Arizona from December 10 through 12, 1969, for the purpose of archaeological clearance. The Museum was represented by Alexander J. Lindsay, Jr., Curator of Anthropology, and Peter J. Pilles, Jr., Salvage Archaeologist, who found five prehistoric sites and two modern Navajo sites during the course of the survey.
