Due to State budget issues, Homol'ovi Ruins State Park, created in 1986 to preserve four ancestral Hopi villages, has been closed. This is an Arizona Site Steward file for the Rising Sun Site that is located on Tonto National Forest land. The site consists of stone room blocks with minimal lithic and sherd scatter. One document notes a petroglyph. The file consists of two site data forms and two cultural resources preliminary inventory forms. The oldest documents in the file date to 1993.
