As a subcontractor to Northland Research, Inc., Archaeological Research Services, Inc. conducted a data recovery program at two historic sites which were affected by the construction of the Upper West Side Canal and Centennial Levee of the Central Arizona Project. Both sites are located in the Harquahala Valley of western Maricopa County, Arizona. Site AZ S:7:29(ASM) was the Enlarged (Dry Farm) Homestead of Hugh T. Stubblefield. Northland Research, Inc. (Northland), was contracted by Salt River Project (SRP) to perform a Class III cultural resources survey for proposed SRP receiving station site RS # 3, associated transmission line (230 kV and 65 kV) right-of-way corridors, and alternatives. The survey was conducted from 30 October to 3 November 1995. The work involved 11 person days of labor. No significant archaeological resources were encountered.
