In February 1995, Parsons Brinckerhoff contracted with Desert Archaeology, Inc., to conduct archaeological investigations along the route of the A-Mountain storm drain. The A-Mountain testing phase was conducted concurrently with the first phase of testing on Rio Nuevo South and revealed a similar pattern of Early Agricultural features, prehistoric and historic canals, remnants of the brickyard, and a portion of an area occupied by Chinese gardeners.
