This report provides an overview of limited archaeological investigations carried out on Ossabaw Island by the Office of the State Archaeologist (OSA), Georgia Department of Natural Resources Historic Preservation Division, in 2001-2002. DNR Archaeologists returned to 9CH155 on July 25, 2002 to monitor grading for a barge landing. Grading was done within the area previously marked by DNR archaeologists after close-interval shovel testing indicated that the specified area had low potential for encountering undisturbed cultural deposits.
