A Class I survey performed on July 11, 1994 indicated 29 previously recorded sites located within 1.0 mi (1.6 km) of the survey routes. Fourteen sites were shown to be located near the transmission line corridor, with four of these within the right-of-way. Undertaken between July 14 and 19, 1994, the Class III survey of the route included a 100 ft (30 m) wide corridor with a 150 x 150 ft ( 46 x 46 m) area examined around each structure.
