Post-Cold War downsizing has resulted in a number of necessary changes to Cold War era facilities. Two of the Perimeter Acquisition Vehicle Entry Phased Array Warning System (PAVE PAWS) sites (Texas and Georgia) are no longer operational and have been partially dismantled.
