These data are from observations on antemortem tooth loss and the presence of carious lesions from the site of Deir el-Medina, Egypt. The data were collected by Anne Austin and Mélie Louys as part of the mission of the Institut Français d’Archéologie Orientale at the site during the 2012-14 and 2019-20 field seasons. Deir el-Medina Human Remains (2022)
This data set constitutes ongoing research at Deir el-Medina, Egypt on the human skeletal remains currently stored at the site. This data set includes remains from Theban Tombs (TT) 217, 290, and 298. These data were collected as part of the IFAO Field Mission at Deir el-Medina. These files include observations made with OsteoSurvey following methods from Standards (Buikstra and Ubelaker 1994) and the Data Collection Codebook of the Global History of Health Project.
