Creator(s): R. Elston; Kathryn Ataman; William Bloomer; Eric Ingbar
Year: 1990
Summary
Material types used in analysis of bifaces from Tosawihi Quarries (EK3032). Chalcedony and opal are not necessarily true chalcedony or opal but are terms used in central Nevada to denote semi-clear silicious material (chalcedony) and milky-gray silicious material. Opalite is the Tosawihi toolstone and is generally white and slightly chalkier than the above two materials.
