Archaeological Survey, UAV Airstrip and Fire Training Center, Fort A.P. Hill (AP2012.001)

The Fort A.P. Hill Cultural Resource Manager, under the Environmental Division of the Directorate of Public Works within Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, has completed Phase I reconnaissance-level archaeological survey in association with proposed development of (1) an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) airstrip and (2) a fire training center, at Fort A.P. Hill, Caroline County, Virginia.

The objective of the archaeological survey was to identify any historic properties that may be located within the Survey Area and evaluate the potential eligibility of any such resources for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. As a result of the investigations, one previously recorded archaeological site (44CE0084) and four previously unrecorded archaeological sites (44CE0573, 44CE0575, 44CE0576, and 44CE0577) were identified in the Survey Area.

This collection contains the Archaeological Survey, UAV Airstrip and Fire Training Center, Fort A.P. Hill project, which includes the survey report, photo log and photographs.
