    Burial 58 was first identified as Feature 329 in square 10R270 during the 1981 field season held by the Research Laboratories of Anthropology at the Warren Wilson site, Buncombe County, North Carolina. At the top of subsoil, the feature appeared as an area of fill consisting of dark brown-tan sandy soil mixed with red- orange sandy soil. After Levels 1 and 2 of the fill were removed from the 10R270 square, the pit began to take on the elongated, oval shape characteristic of a burial. Exploration...
