Archaeological and Historical Survey of the Proposed Keentown-Whidden Transmission Line in De Soto, Hardee, and Manatee Counties, Florida

Summary

This report presents the results of an archaeological and historical survey performed by the Florida Division of Archives, History and Records Management under contract with Florida Power and Light Company. The area surveyed consisted of a 38.5 mille long corridor 110 feet wide, which will be used for a 240 kv transmission line. The line begins at the Whidden substation, just east of Arcadia in De Soto County, and ends at the Keentown substation in Manatee County.
