Contracting Center, 15th Air Base Wing/LGCV, Hickam AFB (Project: HIC 85-9117, Contract No. F6460586C0005) as required by the Performance Work Statement (Section C, Work Task Al. The project is authorized by a Programmatic Memorandum of Agreement (PMOA) (effective July 1, 1985), pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (as amended) and its implementing regulations, "Protection of Historic and Cultural Properties" (36 CFR 8001).

The Approach and Methodology provides· a historical overview of the present project and includes a brief description of previous archaeological studies at Bellows Air Force Station. The report contains comments on the development of cultural resource management plans in Hawaii, summarizes the specific products to be included within the CRMP document (including data recovery and analytical methods, significance criteria, and historic preservation treatment standards), and provides a detailed completion schedule for all CRMP task products.
