Summary

Samples from seven sites (42SA14731, 42SA21453, 42SA21462, 42SA21465,

42SA21468, 42SA21474, and 42SA21609) located near the San Juan River in

southeastern Utah were sampled for pollen and macrofloral remains. These samples

were examined to provide information coricerning the subsistence base at these

sites. In addition, this preliminary analysis focuses on identification of

questions not addressed by this data base and formulates sanpling design for

future investigations.
