Summary
Pollen samples were examined from Features 2 and 3 at Fort Briefer (48UT29)
to assist in identifying the purpose for which these features were used. Feature
2 appears to be the trading post. It had a wooden floor while in use. Feature
3 was a pit that might have functioned as a storage pit or possibly as a milk
trench or well. It was utilized during the Mormon era.
