Summary

Eight samples from hearth features at Site 32RY77 were sampled for

macrofloral remains. In addition, a broken grinding slabwas washed and examined

for both pollen and phytoliths. Site 32RY77 is a prehistoric site located in

north eastern North Dakota. OccLpation of this site is estimated at around A.D.

1650. Macrofloral, pollen, and phytolith analyses are used to adSress the

subsistence base at this site.
