Summary

Pipeline trenching in 1988 for the Shoshone Municipal Water Supply Pipeline

uncovered nine features at Site FA88-136-3, Wyoming. These features all

represent buried hearths. Fill from Feature 5 was examined for pollen and

macrofloral remains to recover possible subsistence information. In addition,

soil from the prehistoric living surface was sampled to provide a control for

interpreting pollen and macrofloral remains recovered from the feature sample.
