Summary
Pipeline trenching in the eastern margins of the Wind River Basin, Wyoming,
uncovered a hearth in the trench wall at Site 48FR2139. The hearth yielded a
radiocarbon date of 4220 ± 80 BP, suggesting a Middle Archaic occupation. Soil
from the hearth was examined for macrofloral remains to provide subsistence
information.
