Summary
Two samples from hearth fill at Site 5MF1124 near the Yanpa River in
northwestern Colorado, were floated to recover macrofloral remains. These two
samples were collected from different depths and may represent two components.
A single radiocarbon date of 4020 + 80 BP suggests a Middle Archaic occupation.
Macrofloral analysis of the hearth fill may provide subsistence information.
