POLLEN AND MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS AT SITE 5HF1100, SOUTH-CENTRAL COLORADO

Summary

Pollen and macrofloral analyses were conducted on samples from hearths and

from a profile in the cutbank of a small drainage at Site 5HF1100 in southcentral

Colorado. This site contained two cultural components. The lower

component contained four features and represents a Late Archaic occupation, while

the upper conponent contained only charcoal flecks, a few burned rocks, and

flakes. Pollen and macrofloral analyses of feature fill are used to provide

information concerning food processing activities at this site.
