POLLEN ANALYSIS OF TARRING PEBBLES AND BENEATH SHELLS IN A MIDDEN AT CA-SNI-351, SAN NICHOLAS ISLAND, CALIFORNIA
Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings
Year: 1993
Summary
The soil contained in inverted shells was examined for pollen, since this
location would provide evidence of pollen associated with midden use and
formation, rather than later percolation through the sediments. In addition,
tarring pebbles were washed to identify pollen recovered.
