MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS OF REMAINS FROM STRATIGRAPHIC DEPOSITS AT WEST BEACH (SITE 3357) , OAHU

Summary

The contents of eight sediment samples were examined for macrofloral

remains from Trench I at Site 3357, West Beach, Oahu. Radiocarbon ages place

time of accumulation of these sediments between approximately 3700 BC and AD

1283. Identification of macrofloral remains complements pollen analysis in

determining prehistoric vegetation for this portion of West Beach.
