Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings; Kathryn Puseman
Year: 1994
Summary
Fill from a hearth associated with a small, jacal Anasazi surface structure
at Site 42SA22502 was sampled for pollen and macrofloral remains. Charcoal from the hearth fill is believed to represent the last use of the hearth around AD
540, about the time of the Basketmaker II to Basketmaker III transition. Pollen
and macrofloral analyses are used to determine plants processed in this hearth.
