Summary
Between April 1996 and July 1997 personnel from the U.S. Army Engineer District, St. Louis conducted curation needs assessments at all active military installations in Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and the District of Columbia. Over 5,000 cubic ft of artifacts and over 700 linear feet of associated documentation from archaeological projects conducted on these installations were examined during the course of the fieldwork. This research was sponsored by the Department of Defense and was coordinated through the office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Environmental Security.
