DATA STATEMENT: POLLEN AND MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS OF REMAINS FROM THE 518 CORRIDOR
Author(s): LInda J. Scott; PaleoResearch Institute
Year: 1984
Summary
Pollen and macrofloral samples were taken from four sites along the 518
corridor between the towns of Riverside and Ainsworth in Washington County,
Iowa. These four sites (13WS61, 13WS65, 13WS122, and 13WS126) represent
prehistoric occupation in this area from the Archaic to the Late Woodland.
Pollen and macrofloral samples were taken in an effort to define the vegetal
portion of the subsistence base at these sites.
