PALYNOLOGICAL TESTING AT FOUR SITES IN SWEETWATER AND FREMONT COUNTIES, WYOMING: A FEASIBILITY STUDY
Author(s): Linda J. Scott; PaleoResearch Institute
Year: 1986
Summary
Thirteen pollen samples associated with features from four archaeological
sites were analyzed for pollen in association with archaeological testing
along the Amoco Pipeline. The sites are located in Sweetwater and Fremont
Counties in southwestern Wyoming, at elevations varying from 6785 to 7500
feet, in a semi-arid environment. The features were tested for their pollen
content in an effort to determine whether or not there was evidence at these
sites of plant processing.
