POLLEN AND MACROFLORAL REPORT FOR 5DA29, DOUGLAS COUNTY, COLORADO
Author(s): Linda J. Scott; PaleoResearch Institute
Year: 1986
Summary
Forty pollen and macrofloral samples have been analyzed from 5DA29, a
rockshelter situated along the South Platte River in the Pike National
Forest to the southwest of Denver. The pollen and macrofloral or flotation
sampling was aimed at gathering both paleoenvironmental and subsistence data
relevant to the occupation of this rockshelter, which spans a period from
approximately 5000 to 250 BP. The occupation of this rockshelter appears to
have begun shortly after its formation.
