POLLEN AND MACROFLORAL ANALYSES AT THREE SITES IN THE GREEN RIVER BASIN, WYOMING: A STUDY OF SUBSISTENCE
Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings; PaleoResearch Institute
Year: 1988
Summary
Pollen and flotation samples were collected from three sites (48SW6777,
48SW6778, and 48SW6779) in the Green River Basin. Site 48SW6777 contained a
housepit, with interior features, and another probable housepit, also
exhibiting interior features. All of the features were analyzed for pollen
and macrofloral remains to provide evidence of subsistence activities. In
addition, pollen samples were collected from the floor of the housepit in
Unit C to further assess subsistence activities. Sites 48SW6778 and
48SW6779 are represented by flotation samples from hearths and an unlined
pit.
