Pollen samples were collected from rock features at two sites in Rio
Blanco County in northwestern Colorado. Located on a bench approximately 11
miles east of Rangely, these sites overlook the White River. Two features
at each site were sampled for pollen. The features are described as
concentrations of river-worn cobbles similar to agricultural features in
Arizona. The purpose of pollen analysis at these sites was to search for
evidence of agriculture.
