Summary
Site 5GN2478 is located near the Blue Mesa Reservoir within the Curecanti
National Recreation Area, Colorado. The site contains a pithouse structure
(Feature 7), approximately 3 meters in diameter. There is currently no age
associated with this feature. A probable metate was recovered from within
Feature 7 and was washed for pollen. Pollen analysis of the wash residue was
undertaken in order to help determine possible plant types processed on the
metate and within Feature 7.
